The Village of Shelton is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov services as a convenient way for the Village to communicate with residents.

You can sign up to receive text message notifications from the Village such as  Street Closures, Water Service Interruptions, Changes in the Garbage Pickup Schedule, and reminders for Shut Off Date & Recycle Day Pickup.

How to Sign-up:

  • After the initial keyword is sent, you will receive a confirmation message asking you to reply YES to verify opt-in.

  • You may receive multiple text messages a month with a notification for each alert category opted-in to.

How to Opt-Out:

Text STOP at any time to remove phone number from the notification list.
